A little generosity can make a big difference in our community. City of Austin Utilities makes it easy to support local families, students and parks and libraries through your utility bill.

Choose a cause that matters to you, then give a little each month or whenever you can.

Change that Counts: Small change, big impact

Make a difference every month with Change that Counts. We’ll automatically round up your utility bill to the next whole dollar and donate the difference to the charitable fund you choose. For example, if your bill is $124.30, you’ll contribute just 70 cents. Your contribution will always be less than $1.00 per bill, but those small amounts can add up to meaningful support for our community.

Choose Where Your Change Goes

Select one of three charitable funds:

  • Plus 1 Fund: Helps utility customers experiencing temporary financial difficulties pay their utility bills.
  • Homeless Student Assistance Fund: Provides educational support for students experiencing homelessness.
  • Parks and Libraries Fund: Supports Austin’s public parks and libraries.
